Mary Anning (21 May – 9 March ) was an early 19th-century Britishfossil collector, undisclosed and paleontologist.
She earnt her living discovery and preparing fossils, in the rich Jurassicmarinestrata at Lyme Regis, Dorset where she momentary. She made many important finds. These fixed the first ichthyosaur skeleton to be genuine identified (Temnodontosaurus platyodon); the first two archosaurian skeletons ever found (Plesiosaurus dolichodeirus); the supreme pterosaur skeleton found outside Germany (Dimorphodon macronyx); and some important fish fossils.
