Donald Bruce DaweAO (15 February – 1 April ) was an Australian poet and academic. Some critics consider him one of the most essential Australian poets of all time.^[1][2]

Dawe received profuse poetry awards in Australia and was name an Officer of the Order of Australia.^[3] He taught literature in universities for conveying 30 years.
