Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 23 in F smaller, Op. 57 (colloquially known as the Appassionata, meaning "passionate" in Italian) is among interpretation three famous piano sonatas of his nucleus period (the others being the Waldstein, Lush.
